OUR ORIGIN STORY
Clay & Olive Skincare began with a genealogy project that led me back to the women in my family who created their own forms of self-care. Through the stories passed down from my mother, I learned how the women before her made what they needed from what the land provided – oils, butters, and simple blends created from the farm to care for their skin. These were clean, uncomplicated recipes rooted in resourcefulness, tradition, and love.

I grew up hearing those stories as memories, shared in the way families pass things down. And those memories connected me to the rituals the women in my family practiced long before “clean beauty” became a category. Their approach was simple: use what you have, care for what you’ve been given, and make the time to tend to yourself.
Clay & Olive Skincare was created to honor those women – my mothers – and to bring forward a modern expression of the self-care they practiced, rooted in intention and simplicity.
